We are School Kitchen, an exciting new takeaway food service with three simple goals.
We partner with local schools to take over their kitchens on evenings and weekends, outside of school hours. We then run home delivery takeaway restaurants from these kitchens, with the school receiving a share from the revenue.

We run free cookery demonstrations and classes for pupils

We run an apprenticeship scheme for recent school leavers in the area

We ensure all staff (chefs, delivery riders etc.) are fairly employed, with no zero hours contracts or commission-only earnings​
We work with local chefs from diverse culinary backgrounds to run multiple restaurants from each school kitchen. Customers can then pick and choose dishes from all the restaurants based in that kitchen for a single order, with the dishes all delivered together.

To help local communities stay healthy, we select menus and recipes that support this and provide nutritional information about all our dishes.​

We install solar panels at the schools we work with to cover all our energy usage.

We only use bicycles and electric mopeds for all our deliveries.

We ensure that all packaging is recyclable, reusable, or compostable.

We source our ingredients from local farmers and suppliers whenever possible.
